Liu Lab

We welcome motivated students and postdocs in physics, photonics, and applied physics. There are one postdoc and two GRA (graduate research assistant) positions available. Please send your inquiry to Dr. Liu directly.

This is an experimental Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) physics group, a part of a multidisciplinary program in Photonics at OSU. The main research interest is to investigate spin-squeezing with sodium Bose-Einstein Condensates (BEC) near absolute zero temperature, and its immediate applications in quantum information science.

Recent Research Highlights:

Lattice-induced Rapid Formation of Spin Singlets in Spin-1 Spinor Condensates, arXiv: 1801.00773

First-order Superfluid-to-Mott-insulator Phase Transitions in Spinor Condensates, Phys. Rev. A 93, 063607 (2016)
