First-time freshmen seeking admission to Oklahoma State University should submit an "Application for Admission and Housing". This form is available from the Office of Admissions, 103 Whitehurst, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK 74078.

To be eligible for admission, a student must meet the admission requirements as outlined by the Office of Admissions.
The Fall enrollment and orientation period for new freshmen runs from May through August. Students will select one day during this time to come to campus, meet academic advisors, select courses, and learn about campus facilities and services.

If the Physics Graduate Selection Committee recommends admission, the applicant's file is forwarded to the Graduate College; the Graduate College charges a fee of $40 for U.S. students or $75 for international students for further processing the application.
International Students must have a TOEFL score of at least 610 to be considered for a Teaching Assistantship. Additional certification procedures for international students to teach laboratory or recitation sections may be required by the Graduate College

Typically, application materials for the following Fall should be received by January or February, with decisions on admissions and assistantship awards being made in March. Applicants are encouraged to return materials before March 15. However, later applications are accepted.
The Natural and Applied Sciences Program (Photonics option) is administered through the Graduate College with admission recommended by the Photonics Program Committee. The student will be a member of either the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering or the Department of Physics. Teaching Assistantships are administered through each Department. Admission to the Photonics program (by the Program Committee) and the awarding of financial support (by the respective Department) are done independently.
